Like one or two others I have seen here, we are also getting errors messages since the update that are to do with foreign zip codes/postal codes when a person tries to fill out an order.
My observation has shown it happens when a person ordering from Canada puts in their postal code before selecting their country in the country selection box. This happens I believe because the zip code box appears above the country select box, and maybe if they were reversed then the issue would not arise as much. I know it does seem to be having some effect on our sales because a majority of the carts that have this issue occur do not convert to sales despite the obvious easy fix of the visitor to entering their country in the box.
We are using the flex-build-cart.sst template which does not give us the option to swap the order those 2 boxes appear in and so I do not know of an obvious solution to the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can fix this?

What type of error? Shipping, tax, recalculation etc.
What shipping method(s) is/are enabled?
What tax method is enabled?
What other features are enabled? coupons, gift certificate, customer registration,etc
I haven't seen an issue in my testing. Most of the issues that have been posted to the forum recently about upgrades are caused by the way the host performs the upgrade. Instead of upgrading the store in the place where it is installed, they are moving the store and then upgrading, Moving the store to a new install directory causes urls to change, but the host isn't making the appropriate changes to the stores published pages or their store url settings. That causes add to cart buttons to be broken.

You can switch the order of those 2 fields:
Commerce Setup -> Order System -> Shopping Cart -> "Display Country above Zip/Postal Code" (checked)
That should help.

example merchant alert:
"Error details: UPS Shipping: The requested service is unavailable between the selected locations. (Error code: 111210)Please check if the Zip/Postal Code has been entered incorrectly."
This is after the customer has entered their Canadian postal code whilst the country box has defaulted to US. If they had entered the country first then the error would not have occured.
