SEO And Default Template More Info Page
I'm using a default template. The More Information Page has the standard product name at the top of the page followed by the price. This product name is an <h2> tag. Next is my product information that begins with an <h1> tag. Does anyone see any SE penalty for an <h1> following an <h2>. Should I drop the <h1> (which is more promotional in nature than the <h2>)?

Re: SEO And Default Template More Info Page
I am not an SEO expert, but it is my understanding that it does not matter what order the heading tags are in. However, for the H1 tags, you will want to make sure that the words used in those tags are very relevant to the page that they are on. The reason is that the H1 tags are weighted more heavily by search engines. Most people will include product keywords in h1 tags on the page. So if you are using promotional text in an h1 tag on your page, I would make sure that it at least repeats your product name. For example, instead of "Big Savings" it would say something specific to the product such as "Big Savings on this White T-Shirt."
