Is there a way to make Gift Wrapping a product in the shopping cart instead of a surcharge? I am getting started with StoneEdge Order Manager and when the Gift Wrap Surcharge is imported in SEOM it adds additional Sales Tax on for gift wrapping which is not done in the ShopSite Cart. So, the totals for the orders do not match what the customer approved and paid for in ShopSite.
Anyone have a fix or suggestion on how to better handle adding gift wrap to an order?
Thanks!
Wendy

Re: Gift Wrapping As A Product
Do you charge the same for gift wrapping one item as you do for 10? Is there a different charge for wrapping a small item than a large one?
If the charge is constant no matter how many products or their size just create a product that is called "Gift Wrap" with the appropriate price. You could then have that product as a cross sell item in the cart or maybe as an orderanywhere link in one of the cart text fields.
If the price varies based on the item being wrapped you could create an order option for the product and have the Gift wrap option add extra to the product's cost.

Hello,
Things get especially interesting when you take into consideration that not only will customers buy more stuff when you offer the service and thus make more money that way, but you'll also be making money by the margins that gift-wrapping allows. On average, gift-wrapping has ~50% profit margin per item.

I'd like to know if it's possible make gift wrapping enabled by product and not by order, IE an customer buys five cd's and wants gift wrapped all of them separatedly.
