I'm running Shopsite on a windows 2003 server.
Can someone tell me how CGI is handled?
We get a lot of cgi errors during checkout and I have got to find a fix for it. One of our customer says she gets it everytime she places an order.
Many times customers call to say they got an error when checking out so they are calling to place their order.
Is there a component on my windows server that may need to be updated I wonder. We're just at the end of the line here on fielding calls because people are getting errors during checkout.
I'm more concerned about the customers who say foregt it and leave our site without finishing the order.
Any ideas?
CGI Errors
CGI Errors
I suspect you'll need to be more specific. What kind of CGI errors are you getting?
The CGIs for ShopSite are compiled executables like .exe files would be. The error message you quote is a generic message that means "Something went wrong"
Without knowing exactly how to recreate the error and what cgi caused the problem there is no way of getting more details. What browsers does it occur in, or does it happen in all browsers. What was the shopper doing just before they got the error? What firewall do they have enabled on their computer? What anti virus software were they using? Does this happen on a secure web page or non-secure one?
