When affiliates place orders, they are signed out after each order. This is very cumbersome for them (see forum post ). We have also had the same complaints from our regular customers who want to place more that one order at a time. Once they sign in, they would like to remain signed in, not kicked out after placing the order.
We should have the option of letting the customer stay signed in so that they can place multiple orders.

The reason that Registered Shoppers are signed out automatically after completing an order is for security issues. Some less sophisticated shoppers might be using a public computer and then leave after their order is completed. Another user could then complete a new order to a different address and even charge it to the previous customer if payment information was being saved in their account.
A future solution may be to allow the merchant the option to allow the shopper to set their account to not autologout (similar to the option to allow payment info to be saved.) If enabled you would then need a logout link on the Thankyou page.

How about having a checkbox when the customert logs in that says "Keep me logged in on this computer"?
Just like many other sites, and bulletin boards do. Kinda like this forum does.
Would that work?

I am getting lambasted on this issue from our distributors. I switched to Shopsite in order to make things easier. It's certainly easier and much quicker for us to process orders using ShopSite than before.
But my many of my customers that have multiple orders are all saying the same thing that it's a real pain to have to sign in and out every one or two minutes.
I can only tell them that it is a limitation of ShopSite and that I and others have expressed our concern to ShopSite and that hopefully it will be incoporated in an upcoming patch.
Can someone please tell me if there plans to have this feature added and when it can be expected?
Thank you
