Resized Images Showing Corrupted

Post by richpowell »

Hi, I've recently added two 500x500 pixel images to my More Info section. They look fine when blown up but their "Medium, small and extra small" versions look pixilated and corrupted. I hadn't had this problem until just recently.

In ShopSite, go to:

Images -> Configure

and set the "JPEG image compression quality" to 75 in the "Image Defaults" section. If it's set to 0, you will see severe issues as this is the maximum compression value. From the help docs:
----
You can control how much compression to use when converting image files to the JPEG format. Higher compression will result in a poorer visual quality. The compression can be set between 0 (maximum compression) and 95 (minimum allowable compression) with 75 being accepted as a good compromise. If this field is left blank, default compression (75) will be used.
