Abandoned Cart Configuration: Sending First Email

Is it possible to have the first email sent within X minutes of detecting an abandoned cart? Currently the "Send abandoned cart emails" setting allows only a selection between 1-99 days.

SeeWhy.com says their A/B tests have found that sending the first email the same day results in the most conversions. They state "The reason for this is that an immediate email ‘connects’ with the emotion of the originally intended purchase. This emotion dissipates rapidly. We often also see higher average order values with an immediate email for this reason (this was a factor at Lucky Brand, for example)."

It is not currently possible to set the reminder emails for less than a day. I will mention to the engineers that this should be looked at for a future release.

It would be much better if the option for the first abandoned cart email could be set up to go out in the first hour.

"75.3% of the top 500 ecommerce companies using abandoned cart nurturing send recovery emails within an hour of cart abandonment. 50% of those customers who buy from
these emails do so within an hour of abandoning their carts. (source) Proving that timing is everything in your email marketing strategy."

Is it possible to get them programmers to change the box to be hours rather than days. Then if you wanted to represent 1 day you could just put 24 and so on.

I agree, the hour setting would be more logical than the day setting. IMO
