Local Getway and Merchant

Hi,

We are currently using Worldpay.

To use local currency and also pay lower rate, we are signing up with a local provider. The issue is the integration for payment. This company is not listed anyway in Shopsite. Can we still use them? And what is require to process payment?

In most cases if they are not listed on the ShopSite list of gateways they will not work.

This company is both gateway and merchant account.

Is the setting up too complicated or almost impossible. What can we do to make it work?

There is no merchant interface to add a payment method that is not built into ShopSite. Payment gateways require exact input in a format that they define and each one wants the information differently, if the information isn't submitted correctly the orders (i.e. money) doesn't get processed. It took anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months to implement and test each gateway or payment method that is included with ShopSite. So adding a new gateway is not a trivial matter. New gateways and payment methods are being added as there is demand for them.

If you have one that you feel needs to be added and that the demand by other users would be sufficient to warrant adding it, you can enter an enhancement post and it will be considered on its merits for inclusion in a future release. If you have one that would be of value to you and a limited number of others and you are willing to pay the development costs for adding it that might also be considered.
