ConstantContact service

Postby jarodgan » Fri May 04, 2007 3:09 am

Hi,

For email marketing, we try ConstantContact. Shopsite listed them as resourses design to work with Shopsite. But we check with ConstantContact, there is no any kind of integration with Shopsite. It this true? The information on http://www.shopsite.com/emarketing.html could be misleading than.

Anyone experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

Constant Contact is designed to take batch uploads of e-mail address for mailings or newsletters. From within ShopSite you can download customer registration e-mail addresses (ShopSite Pro) or download e-mail addresses from your Orders db (ShopSite Manger or Pro) along with the "Opt-In" field to indicate a shopper wanted to be added to an e-mail list. Once you have donwloaded the addresses they can easily be uploaded into Constant Contact.

An automated system to add a shopper to Constant Contact would be nice but is currently not available. Sorry about the confusion, we'll update the wording on that page to try to make it clearer that those vendors are offering a service.

We use Constant Contact and Lexiconn had an API or script of some sort available to take "Add me to your Mailing list" submissions in the Shopsite cart and automatically add them to the Constant Contact list.
