customising shopping cart and checkout template

I've managed to customise the shopping cart template, but when it goes to the checkout page, it no longer uses the custom template. Is there another template for the checkout page?

No, it should use the same template, but each screen in the shopping cart flow is defined in its own section in the shopping cart template. Make sure you have also customized the [-- DEFINE Shipping --] section (for the checkout screen), the [-- DEFINE Confirmation --] section (if you are using the optional confirmation screen), and the [-- DEFINE ThankYou --] section (for the thankyou screen). Also, if you are using HTML-formatted email receipts you may want to customize the [-- DEFINE ThankYou_Email --] section as well.

Got it, so there's multiple "pages" included in one template file, so I basically made the changes to the multiple sections of the default cart template, and it worked.
