Question Re: International Characters

I just received an order from France. The emailed confirmation came through fine, however since the customer used a symbol over the letter "e," and the order completely deleted this character. Is this because of a language setting on my ShopSite?

What do you mean by "the order completely deleted this character" If it was deleted how do you know that it was an e with an accent? ShopSite should handle all of the latin 1 character set which is used in most western european languages. Was the character on the email receipt? Did it display in the Back Office view orders screeen? Did it display when you downloaded the order? If the latter was it a tab delimited or xml delimted download.

The character appeared correctly on my email notification. There was a blank space where the character was when I viewed and printed the order. I have not downloaded the order thus far, I have only printed it.

If it's not displaying in your browser, then perhaps it's your webserver and/or your web browser that can't display this character. I've seen accented/umlauted characters in ShopSite orders before. Can you try looking at the order from a different browser and a different computer?
