Quickbooks import

Postby Paul Perris » Mon Mar 11, 2002 2:56 pm

I am trying to use .iif file in Quickbooks and when I attempt to use
file/import the software crashes with no error message - I am using Version
2002 Quickbooks

Anybody got this working?

Cheers,

Paul

Paul,

This is probably a QuickBooks problem that was recently discovered, it can't
handle product names longer than 30 characters or so. You can either manually
edit the QuickBooks file using Notepad or something before you import it into
Quickbooks and shorten all the product names, or you can shorten all the
product names in ShopSite.

Or we will soon have a new point release that will contain a fix to work around
the QuickBooks deficiency, basically when the file is exported from ShopSite it
will just cut off all product names at 30 characters so that QuickBooks won't
choke on it.
