How can I check the shipoptmenu choice in the shopping cart?

Hi all,

Has anyone used Javascript to check the selected value of the "shipoptmenu" when the user hits the submit menu? If I can determine which value is selected then I could check it against the subtotal to make sure the correct processing charge was selected by the user.

Which ship-to options menu do you mean? The country drop-down or the shipping method menu?

It is the surcharge menu... Sorry I misspelled it above... but in the source code for the page it is named:

"shipoptmenu"

This feature is called the surcharge pull down menu in the back end.

Since the form is named order, and the form field is named shipoptmenu, then in JavaScript you can check its value by checking document.order.shipoptmenu.value.
