Quickbooks Order Transfer Error

I'm using Order Transfer utility (version 1.7)
and am getting errors on certain records.

An example error is:

String too long.

Anyone know if this is a known problem, and if so if it's been
fixed? (Is there a newer version of the utility available?)

I am having a similar problem. Error code (3070) product "Name" field too long, something something, string something. It is very frustrating. I'm trying to play with the settings in both the order transfer properties, and the properties in QB.

Do you have SKU's assigned to your ShopSite products? If so, how long are they? If you don't have SKU's, how long are your product Names?

QuickBooks has a limit of 13 characters for its item names. If you have your Order Transfer configured to create new items in QuickBooks if the products in the ShopSite order don't already exist in QuickBooks, then you may get this error if the SKU (or product name, if you don't have an SKU) is longer than 13 characters, because this is all QuickBooks will allow. A solution to avoid this on future orders is to assign SKUs to all of your ShopSite products (so you don't have to shorten the product Name itself) and make sure the SKUs are 13 characters or less in length.

Awesome! Thank you. I didn't have a SKU assigned to the product that was giving me trouble. I will add one and try it again on Tuesday.
