Shopsite Cart not returning to Last page viewed

If anybody has any ideas on this one I'd appreciate your feedback. We have
a number or carts all 4.3 or 5.0 NT version shopsite. On some carts for
some reason when you click continue shopping or empty cart, Shopsite sends
you to the store index page not the last page viewed. The settings in
Shopsite are correct for last page viewed in all cases. Here is the catch,
it appears to be a function of the user end system. In many cases it works
fine then on one particular system the cart will not return correctly.
Anybody heard of this? Any ideas?

Check your Add to Cart URL's and make sure that up to (but not
including) "order.cgi" they match the setting in ShopSite in Preferences
-> Hosting Service for "Shopping Cart CGI's URL".

If an inconsitency there is the problem, it is probably acting
differently on different systems/browsers because of the different ways
the browsers handle cookie 'security'.

This same thing happened to us and we found it was a fire wall problem (
posting of 10/20/01 above). I installed Norton Personal Firewall on 1 computer
and suddenly shopsite started sending you to the index page. I was able to
find that NPF by default blocks referrer information from being sent to
shopsite; therefore, shopsite didn't know what page you came from and sent you
to the index page by default. NPF claims this is a privacy issue. I was able
to change the default setting and the store functioned properly again.
