Changing the color of the tabs etc. in a template

Hi.

I am using the TABBED template in Shop Site and I wanted to alter the color of the tabs and bar to match more closely my Banner w/logo that I am loading as a JPEG at the top of my pages.

I thought that by simply downloading the appropriate images in the "themesmedia" folder. Altering their color in photoshop and then re-uploading them to that folder that it should work. But it doesn't.

Can anyone clue me in on what to do? I did REGENERATE the store afterwards.
