quantity pricing

I have an item set to $19.50, if you purchase 4 it is $17.50. However, there are dropdowns associated with the item. And a customer might want a different color on one. It seems that if the items are put in the cart separately, even though they total 4, it doesn't give the $17.50 price. Is there a better way? Thanks!

Quantity pricing is only for items on a single line in the cart, it currently does work across multiple lineitems.
