Loop Products

I have a template that's been working for months. It has this code:

[-- LOOP PRODUCTS 3 --]

it sets it up so three products show across each page, making three columns.

I've now modified it to:

[-- LOOP PRODUCTS 2 --] and changed nothing else. I've uploaded the template, assigned it to a test page and I still get 3 products across, not 2 as I expected based on the change I made.

Any thoughts?

Yep. did it a couple times just to make sure

Which template did you modify, the page template or the product template?
Are you sure you selected the template that you uploaded on the Edit Page Layout screen?

I modified the Page template and it was uploaded and selectd in the Edit Page Layout screen. I just verified that all of that is correct.

I'm stumped because all I changed was the one digit, from a 3 to a 2.

Are you sure the page is being published? Make some other change on the page and publish and see if the change appears on your page. If not then you might have a permissions problem that is preventing the page from being over written.
