$0 item $0 shipping, but I must get CC info on Checkout page

At Argyle Winery, we have two wine clubs that hundreds of people sign up for on our website. The wine clubs are free to join, and there's no immediate shipping charge.

When I set up these clubs as "products" in ShopSite, I assigned $0 price and "No Shipping Charges". When a cusomter checks out, the Checkout page says "No payment information required" due to the $0 total price. Oh oh!

Is there a way to "require" payment information even with a $0 total price? This is critical for club membership sign-ups.

For now, I am forced to apply a $0.01 shipping charge to the order, which looks very unprofessional.

If there is no charge for the order the payment information fields will not be displayed. You might be able to use Custom Checkout fields (Pro stores only) to gather the information you require. See the help at
