Hi all,
I'm trying to convert some of our site to template-based instead of Order Anywhere. However, we have a lot of similar items where only the dimensions change. Description and Image stays the same (and isn't currently repeated) for 10-20 products. Just dimensions and price are listed in a table. So I'm trying to figure out how best to handle this. I considered putting the picture and description in the PAGE template and then skipping these in the PRODUCT template. However, this would require a lot of PAGE templates. I also considered using "IF" statements on the Product.Description and Product.Image fields in the PRODUCT template. However, this would mean I can only enter the description and image for one of the items (which doesn't work well if I want to feed the database out for product feeds (which is part of the purpose of this project))--Unless there is some way to use an "IF" statement to only show the image and description for the FIRST product in a list?
Also, if I don't use More Info pages, can I use the More Info page fields/tags on the main product page? I'm trying to figure out where to put dimensions. I know I have 5 custom fields in the product description, but I might want to use these for feature bullets....
For more ideas on what I'm trying to mimic, please see http://mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/ ... strai.html
Thanks!
Chris
