Need new forums

I think you need new topic forums.

1. Payment gateways
2. Accounting
3. Shipping
4. Custom templates
5. List your stores here
6. Review my store
7. Web site structure
8. Non store pages
9. Plug ins and scripts
10. Web hosts
11. Store design questions
12. Database questions

I recommend that you look at the support forums at www.vbulletin.com and www.pmachine.com. They build wonderful customer relationships by providing quick answers to questions and threads on these forums.

What am I missing?:)

The appropriate number of forums is a balancing act between too many and not enough. I did look at your vbulletin example and counted 32 forums which for me would be way too many to try to figure out where to post my question. We currently just have two and even now people post 'How Do I' questions in the Enhancement forums instead of the Users forum. But perhaps there should be a few more focused forums. If others feel strongly about this reply here. For Example maybe a forum just on Template issues?

Thanks for looking at it. As an editor, I've found that I have to make editorial decisions based on my feel for the situation. Readers have a tough time articulating what they want until they see a sample. So my advice is to add a couple of forums and see if they're used. If they are, add some more.

I have 50 forums and sub forums on my board. Some are very active, some are seldom used. No skin off my nose, but people like the complete package.
