We should have full access to our registered users information and also be able to download it for mailings, email newsleteer, etc.

Thanks Jeff, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is wierd...

Can anyone at ShopSite shed a little light on why we have such limited access to our customer's information?

You are able to download the customers name and email within ShopSite.

Under Commerce setup, click Customer Registration, and then the download button.

It's been a year since we set up our registration function. So I'm a little hazy now on how it works. But I remember being surprised that there was no way for the site owner to download a list of registered customers and their addresses for postal mailings of catalogs, Christmas cards etc.

I'm glad that this topic is raising alot of interest. It is very important to most businesses to be able to access their customer's information. This is HUGE for us!

I still haven't heard anyone from ShopSite chime in here...

The part where I have problems with this is that you cannot help a customer change a billing/shipping address that they have saved into the system.

Also, you cannot look up address information to send them out additional products from the customer screen.

If a customer has payment info saved, it would be nice to be able to view that as well. Sometimes people want to make additional orders over the phone and it would be nice to be able to look up the information here as well as in previous orders or in our accounting systems.

There seems to be very, very limited customer information available in the the customer registration screens that is useful.

Also, a "resend password" would be helpful in addition to the "change password.
