Remove currancy marker

I have version 8.0.2 and my client sells items based on a point value rather
than money or dollars. Is there any way to remove the currancy symbol? I
saw that it can be changed to many different kinds, but all are monetery. I
have see other carts where the symbol can be removed.....HELP...?

Do you have access to the server so you can modify configuration files?
If you do you might be able to do this, if you don't have access you
might be able to get your host to do it for you. Otherwise there is no
way to do it.

In the Shopsite cgi directory usually ss or bo (or sc on a windows
platform) directory is a file <storeid>.aa where <storeid> is the user
name you use to log in to the back office of your store. In that file
there is a line that looks something like

currency: USD|$|-$#,###.##||

If you replace the $ between the || with a space character then the
currency symbol will be a space so it won't display. So it would look
like this:

currency: USD| |-$#,###.##||

Note that you should backup the file before editing it just in case
something happens and you want to change back.
