Search Result and Minicart Bugs

FYI for people, default search results in 8.x are not displaying
properly in FireFox (Win/Mac) and Safari, but work fine in IE and Opera.
Looks like HTML not being written correctly and Firefox and Safari can't
fix it. I've submitted this to Shopsite

Also if you're using the minicart and your product names have commas in
them the minicart will not display correctly in Safari. This happens in
Shopsite 7 (if I recall correctly) and in 8, I submitted to Shopstite
and Apple. I believe this is more an Apple bug then a Shopsiite bug
because I know it worked in Safari at one time, but when Apple did an
update to Safari it broke.

There is no search results page bug using the default search template
with the default search product template. The issue is that the product
template the merchant changed the search page to use is not compatible
with the default search template. They can change back to the
search_product template, or design a custom product template
specifically for search or a custom search template specifically to use
the product template they selected.

I don't think there is anything ShopSite can do about bugs in the Safari
web browser. Hopefully Apple will be responsive to your bug report.

I hope Apple will fix it to, but they haven't yet,.
