Use sales people as if an they are affiliate?

Hi,

We want to allow our independent sales people to let their customers order
online. (We currently sell through a homeparty plan only).

If I create a web page for each sales person outside of shopsite, then use
the affiliate system (no experience yet with it) as a link into our store,
do you believe it will work as a sales and tracking system for our
salespeople?

Any comments or experience is appreciated.
