Cannot delete products?

Had a strange error manifest itself last night: The delete function in
products.cgi no longer works.

SS 8.0.2 Pro on Solaris/SPARC.

If I highlight a product in the advanced view, and click 'Delete Products',
I am taken to the confirmation screen 'Are you Sure' and asked to click
Yes/No. If no, SS returns to the main product list as normal.

If I click yes, products.cgi seems to hang/finish at a blank, empty white
page. Bottom left corner of IE shows page load as 'done'.

I've tried deleting products in the standard view also, with the same
result.

Permissions on everything in the cgi-bin folders are 755, and I have no disk
quota problems...

Any ideas?

Found more strange behavior:

I cannot publish now, either. When I go to Utilities --> Publish -->
Regenerate:

The page which appears shows the appropriate Shopsite buttons at the top and
the 'Please wait while your store is generated..." message, but nothing
futher. No publish details appear on the page.

I've made no changes to any settings on my server, so I'm at a loss as to
what might be causing these issues. Help, anyone?

Sounds like a database corruption problem. Have you checked the
database under Utilities > Database > Check Status?

If that doesn't show anything have your web host look into permissions
issues. If they need help they can escalate it to ShopSite.

If you web host doesn't offer support you can purchase a support

Yep, all databases check out OK. I also restored them from a backup to
verify problem still existed.

Permissions are all OK as far as the host can tell. They've contacted
Shopsite and are waiting to hear... I was just hoping someone on here would
have seen this issue before and know an easy fix
