Customizing the shopping cart/shipping pages

Here is what my client wants me to do:

From shopping cart when pressing checkout button, make the credit card
type be a required field before it goes to checkout screen so there is an
error page coming up, if you can't please have the credit card choice on the
checkout page also.


Is that possible?

Not currently, but in the next version the credit card type can be
selected/changed on the checkout screen. I would recommend signing up for the
ShopSite tech bulletin (see http://www.shopsite.com/subscribe.html) so that you
will receive notification of the release of the next version, then when it is
released make a request to your ShopSite reseller that they upgrade you to the
new version.
