Image Map link to Cart

I am trying to link an image map in my banner graphic to the checkout page.
I am missing something, and need to know if I overlooked something obvious,
or do I need to hire a programmer?

For instance, when an item is added to the cart it can be viewed when the
"View Cart" button is clicked. However, if you move to the graphic banner
and click on the "Cart/Check Out" image map, another cart is created, which
is empty.

I know I am missing something and haven't been able to find help in the
ShopSite database.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Your View Cart link in your image map needs to be the exact same as the
View Cart link on the pages. Including the www or not including the www,
depending on how it is on the pages. It has to be the same, and the
first part of it need to match the setting for Shopping Cart CGIs URL
from the Preferences -> Hosting Services screen. This means that you
should not use a relative URL, because if someone entered your site via
yourdomain.com instead of www.yourdomain.com then a relative link would
go to yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/sc/order.cgi etc etc when perhaps it SHOULD
be going to www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/sc/order.cgi etc etc.

I hope this makes sense. If you still have questions, and post the URL
of an example page maybe someone might look at it and tell you what
specifically is wrong if the explanation wasn't clear.

Thank you, Loren. A single hyphen was the problem.

I must say that an answer to my problem sent late in the evening on New
Year's Day was unexpected, and really appreciated. I have been scrambling
to complete an overhaul of my site, and now I can finish my evening knowing
the site is done (well, except for some fine-tuning).
