Question about product layout

Is there a way to do this in a product loop:

<tr>
<td>image1</td>
<td>image2</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>product name, sku, price, etc 1</td>
<td>product name, sku, price, etc 1</td>
</tr>

I dont see a way to do this, unless I can parhaps test for the varibles.
Doable, or am I dreaming?

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do but it looks like you might
be trying to have products displayed in columns on a page.

Each product's information is put out completely during the loop
products section of the template so it wouldn't be possible to have
images for 2 different products side by side and then in the next tr to
have the other product information for the 2 products side by side in
another tr.

You can do something like this though by creating a table for all
products to be place in and then creating a <td> for each product and
then within that <td> making another table with a row for the image and
another row for the other information of the product. You need to use
both a custom page and a custom product template to make sure things
work well together.
