Ordering Options to database SKU conversions

We are preparing to replace our "cross-sell" arrangements with "Ordering
Options" and "pull down menus". These 2 product "features" result in data
being added to unique fields. We then need to combine these fields with the
shopsite SKU data after downloading to get the full SKU ( added color,
size, etc) we need to fill the customer order.

We are now doing that with our existing database ( filemakerpro), but are
wondering if this can be down with something else. Maybe quickbooks or Stone
Edge.?
Anyone else doing this..??
