Make sure that your shipping weights don't have any gaps in them. If
the order weight falls in a gap then it will use the last value in the
table. It sometimes helps to put more than 2 decimal places just incase
there is a computer rounding problem.
For example if you have weights set as 0 - 9.99 and the next at 10.00
-20.00 and a rounding error occurs that causes the value to be 9.995
then the weight would use the last table value since it is more than
9.99 but doesn't fit in the 10.00-20.00 range. If you put the range to
end at 9.999 then a slight rounding error will be caught.

I'm a dead man if I don't get this store up by the weekend.
I've been using SS for a number of years - and recently upgraded my server
plan and SS of course. I found a huge problem in the shipping by weight
option.
When you add a 5th item to the cart, it JUMPS to the highest possible
shipping price - when you add the 6th item, it then goes back to the order
in which I have it configured on the shipipng grid. I tried leaving the
weight/price blank to see what it would do, and it still jumps to the
highest shipping weight.
Help! Anyone ever run in to this problem.
Thank you
