Coupon math is not correct

Post by Adam »

I've setup a coupon that takes 50% off a single product if two specific
products are added to the cart. The lowest price product is $29.98. When the
coupon is applied the discount is $14.50, which is not 50% of $29.98. It
looks like the 50% only applies to whole numbers (in this case it's being
applied to $29.00). Is there a way to get the coupon applied to $29.98
instead of $29.00? Thanks.

Adam,
More info would be helpful. What version of ShopSite? Does it happen on
other products or just specific ones? Are the products the same price?
Does it make a difference which product you add first? Are there other
discounts in the cart?

ShopSite Pro Version: 7.1.2

It happens on any product. All our product prices end in either .99 or .98.
Are the products the same price?
No. Prices vary from $29.99 to $59.99.
Does it make a difference which product you add first?
No. I've tried various combinations and it doesn't seem to make a
difference.
Are there other
discounts in the cart?
No. Our store only allows one coupon per order.

You can reproduce the problem by creating a coupon and assigning two
products to it with prices of 29.98 and 39.99. Check-off "Allow only 1
product per redeemed coupon", and set the Units to 2. Set the percentage to
50% and set one time use to No.

Then add both products to the cart and then apply the coupon.
