Can Product Options add weight?

Is there any way for to add weight to the item depending on the option
chosen?

For example, I would like to have one product called "Gift Basket" and the
options to add one bottle of wine or two bottles of wine to the basket. I
can have the option add the additional cost, but can I get it to add the
additional weight so that my shipping charges are correct?

No, the product ordering options do not add to the weight of the
product, there is only one weight per product, so only changing the
quantity of the product will change the weight.

Or merchants can contact their ShopSite reseller and ask them to send
