Image save?

I am trying to save a copy of all my images and I cannot get them to save
individually in anything other than BMP files even though they are gifs and
jpg's

Also is there any way to save all my impage files from my backroom at once?
I need them to use on other sites. Thanks for any input

Use an FTP program, connect to your server, and transfer the contents of the
/media directory to your local machine.
