Using shopsite on different server than web site

Please excuse me if this question has been asked before, I'm a newbie. Can
we have our cart hosted on a different server than our web site? If so what
problems will this present to us?

Yes you can have the cart on a different server. You would then use
ShopSite's OrderAnywhere feature to generate the HTML code to place order
buttons on your site. The disadvantage is that you would not be able to
have ShopSite generate your catalog pages for you, you would create the
pages yourselve and then add the order buttons.
