Editing Gift Certificate Amount

Hi,

We are using the new Shopsite gift certificates and they are great. We have
one problem, though. Sometimes we are sold out of items and contact the
customer to substitute something else or remove the missing item. This will
change the order total. Currently there is no way to adjust the amount
remaining in a gift certificate. Are there plans to change this?

how about to create a one time coupon for the difference amout for the time
being?

I agree that the editing of the gift certificates amount should be possible.
