Re: ShopSite CCV2 validation box in the checkout form

Postby loren_d_c » Sun Aug 25, 2002 10:42 am

Brandon,

You can change the shopper help URL to go to a page on your own server
if you want, the setting for this is located on the Commerce Setup ->
Payment screen. Feel free to copy the images and text from the current
page on the shopsite.com server to your own if you like.

Lauren and gang,

You guys should jump on the bandwagon and like most other commerce
systems/sites have that gratuitous fake image of a credit card
displaying what and where the CCV2 numbers are. That way when a
shopsite store owner needs to use this feature, they don't lose sales
because people don't have a clue what that value is for in the credit
card info part of the checkout form.

Just a thought!

Kind Regards, Chris Gilbert

Chris,

As Brandon mentions, that bandwagon was jumped on at the same time the
CVV2 field feature was added.

Re: Certificate Problem

Postby Paul Perris » Sat Feb 15, 2003 8:52 am

We have moved one of our sites last week to webex on our dedicated server
the site is greatwigs.co.uk
when we try and use the checkout we get an error in regard to the
certificate - webex have used our Party Domain
certificate to share but is this going to work with shopsite?

Paul,

This should work fine as long as the checkout page uses the same URL as the
certificate (www.partydomains.co.uk). I just tried your checkout process and
did not get any warnings (IE 6).

Thanks for checking on you system Rob.

However I sent a dummy order through and when I try and look at the order it
tries to log onto Party Domain orders and when I let it
it does not show the order I have entered only party domains orders.

I think I will have to check with Webex there must be a wrong setting .

Cheers,

Paul

Under Preferences->Hosting Service check that the secure URLs that are
specified are correct.

Shopsite
and offers a service in the UK?

Thanks,

Optimal has a UK office, and WorldPay is the other one you may want to look
at.

Re: payment setup

Postby Chris » Mon Nov 29, 2004 5:29 pm

I use shopsite starter 7.0. Because my shop http://www.digital-gifts.com is
physically based in United Kingdom, the currency I use at my shop is British
pounds. I use paypal as one of my payment option. Every time I submit the
order after I choose paypal as my payment, the amount of pounds of the order
will change into US dollars at the paypal screen. I wonder what I should do
to stop this. Otherwise, for example, people order 10 pounds product from my
shop will end up only paying me 10 dollars via paypal.
Your help will really appreciated.

You need to upgrade your ShopSite (have youre reseller upgrade your
ShopSite, that is) to v7.1, the use of PayPal's Multiple Currencies
feature (which allows to to take PayPay orders is one of about 5 or 6
different currencies) is not available in prior versions, so all PayPal
transactions will be assumed to be in US dollars.

Re: Coupon Codes

Postby Paul Perris » Wed Mar 30, 2005 1:55 pm

Hi,

Does anybody know a way round using coupon codes hyperlink adding directing
the shopper into the cart rather than the
shopping page?

This can confuse customers directed to empty cart or maybe it just UK
shoppers?
Cheers,
