5.0 patches

Hm... The readme for the V 5 patches sez:

"There have been several bugs fixed in the template files that shipped
with 5.0. These files are not specific to any platform so they are in a
central location. They are on this ftp site in the perl/version/v5.0
directory. View the README file in this directory to get a description
of the problems fixed. There you will also find copies of the
template.pl
and regen.cgi patches that are also included in this directory."

Unfortunately I see no sign of any such location "perl/version/v5.0",
and the "copies of the template.pl and regen.cgi patches" are links and
do not result in transferring anything but an empty directory.

Clues?

I can get to the perl/version/v5.0 directory just fine. It is off of the
first directory you come to when you login to the anonymous ftp site. Make
sure you are going to shopsite.com, logging in as 'anonymous' with the
password your email address.

These are the files in that directory:

00_Default_product_template
02_Compact_product_template
03_Compact_graphic_over_text
04_Inline_product
05_Inline_graphic_over_text
README-perl-5.0.txt
customparser.pl
regen.cgi
template.pl

Also, you can try getting a different ftp client if symbolic links aren't
working for you. Some crappy or really old ones don't know how to deal with
symlinks.

No, in Binary is fine.

If you did happen to move them in ASCII to a Windows machine, make sure
you move them in ASCII when you transfer them to your UNIX server so
they will get converted back to UNIX format.

If you always transfer the stuff in Binary then you don't have to worry
about that.
