Minor bug report - SS 7.1 Pro

Discovered a small bug in 7.1:

When a new item is created and assigned to a page, and the page is set to
sort products (such as 'ascending' for example) the page is not properly
sorted during a standard publish - the new item appears at the bottom
instead of in the proper sorted order.

Opening the 'edit page layout' screen for the page and merely clicking
'save' without changing any settings will trigger a proper sort.

SS staff - can you verify?

I can not reproduce this problem.
I created a page called test and set the sort order to be decending. I
created 6 products, A, B, C, D, E, test
I assigned A, C, E to the page and published and they appeared on the
page in the order E C A.
I then assigned B to the page and the product appeared in the order
E C B A
I then assigned D and test and the appeared in the order
test E D C B A
I tried similar products in another store in asending order and they
worked find also.

Since the newsgroup isn't a formal support mechanism issues such as this
should really be escalated through your hosting partner or directly with
ShopSite support. There is no guarantee how quick ShopSite employees
will be able to answer question here in the newsgroup.

I'll contact you offline to see if you need to explore this further.
