Hello,
We are currently using Yahoo Store and are looking to migrate.
The most important feature we need is one I don't see how to do in ShopSite,
so I'm hoping someone here knows of a way.
When a customer orders, we need to do an Authorize and AVS check on their
credit card, then if the charge is Approved, we send the order information,
including the AVS status, to our Fulfillment System.
The Fulfillment System does some further checks and decides whether to send
the order for Shipping, or to put it on Hold (for example, if AVS failed).
Orders on Hold get further attention such as emailing the customer for the
correct billing address, etc.
When orders are shipped, the Fulfillment System connects back to Yahoo Store
and marks each Shipped order as Sold. This causes the customer's credit card
to be charged.
So the important steps are:
- User enters order info
- Store sends info to the gateway for Authorize and AVS
- If the Authorize is Approved, accept the order.
- Send order information and AVS status to our back-end Fulfillment System
- Fulfillment System decides whether to ship order
- If order is shipped, send status back to Store
- Store charges customer's credit card
I know we send the order information using the Order API, but it was not
clear to me that we could do the other of just doing an Authorize and later
triggering a Charge.
Thanks for any insight!
