Customer Registration

Am I missing something? The Customer Registration in 7.03 doesn't seem to
save the Billing Address, let alone the payment info when you check "Save
Billing Info" All that comes up is the ShipTo Address which necessitates
retyping all the Billing Address Info, since there is no choice to say
Billing is same as Shipping??

Anyone else noticed this behavior???

The shopper must specify that they want the billing information saved
when they first register (or change it under there preferences later).
They must also be using either a credit card or COD payment method,
other method do not have the information saved. Once they have met
those conditions then when they come back to shop again there will be a
radio button selection area just above the Payment selection on the
shopping cart screen where they can select the payment method used on
prior orders and the information for the billing address associated with
that payment type will be filled in on the Checkout screen.

I'm curious to know the thinking/rationale for only saving the billing
address for Credit Card & COD Customers? We have a lot of customers that use
Purchase Orders, PayPal and other "generic" methods of payment. They will
have to continue entering their Billing Address manually every time they
place an order - I'm hard pressed to think of the "instructions" I'll need
to put in the Registration Screen to describe this.
