SS 7 Name Fields Downloads

Just wondering...

In the previous versions of Shopsite, the "Billing Name" field was 1
field for First, Last, and whatever else customers put in (title, middle
initial, suffix, etc.). In Shopsite 7, there are separate fields for
First, Last, Middle (optional), Title (optional), and Suffix
(optional). I think this is a much better way to do it. However, if we
download our Orders data file compatible to a previous version of
Shopsite (version 4.3 in this case) and the separate name fields don't
exist, will all that data (First, Last, Middle, Title, and Suffix) all
just be cocantated into the one "Name" field?

Just "First" and "Last" are concatanated into the "Name" field, other
name fields are ignored when exporting the data to a format other than
the 7.0 format.

Excellent,

This is how I was hoping it was done. That way we can give people a
space to give all that extra information that they insist on giving, but just
disregard it. (Our backoffice system parses first and last name based on
spaces, so any extra stuff--initials, suffixes, etc--cause the name to be
misfiled.We currently have to manually edit out any additional stuff.)
