Uploading into Shopsite

Whenever I upload data into Shopsite 6.1 it takes 12 to 20 minutes. I have
a broadband connection and rent my Shopsite version from Bizland. I look
down into my system tray and it doesn't show any communication going on
between by machine and the server until it finally "activates" and crunches
through the upload.

Is this normal? It's always been the case as long as I've used Shopsite (1
Year +). I'm only uploading 200 items at a time and only mapping two
fields.
