Required fields at checkout

Where do you designate which fields are required at check-out? Is this a
ShopSite function before going to the CC authorization? I'm using AuthNet
and I noticed that Email Address is not a required field according to my
settings on AuthNet for on-line transaction submittal, yet if I enter a
transaction without an Email Address I get an error and can not proceed with
the check-out until it's entered.

ShopSite does not get the field requirement information for the ShopSite
checkout screen from Authorize.net. In v7 Pro, you can change the field
requirements for some fields in Commerce Setup -> Order System ->
Shipping, however email is not one of the fields that you can turn off
the requirement for. In versions prior to v7, the required fields are
not configurable.

Thank you. Just an FYI, we do get customers that for one reason or another
do not/will not provide email addressed. So this may be a consideration for
a future release.
