Tracking Sales Using Coupons

Postby Larry Bohen » Mon Jan 19, 2004 5:51 am

We use ShopSite SC Pro 7.

What is the best way to track total sales using specific coupons? I.E. I
want to know the quantity and dollars associated with total accumulated
sales using a particular coupon code.

Larry -

Why not use a custom report in the Order Manager?

If you use Quickbooks Pro, you can also set up a class for each coupon.
When you input the sale just choose the class associated with each coupon.
Then you can run a custom report by class. If you also choose the class
when doing refunds, the report can take those into account, giving you total
sales minus cost of goods and items refunded.

Figure $150 to $200, depending on how long it takes to create the report.

You can create custom reports in Order Manager if you're at all familiar
with Access... just make a query then a report... if you want to pretty
up the data. I have made several queries to pull raw data just to look
at, but the reports will format the data in a nice easy to read page.
