Subproducts and search

Postby Gary » Sun Oct 26, 2003 3:40 pm

Is there any way to make the search function display products and
subproducts properly? The information displayed is very confusing. The
main product does not have a buy button and the subproduct shows with the
main product name in parenthesis. The only way to buy the main item is to
go to the category page and click on it there.

If there is no fix, can another search engine be used in place of the
Shopsite engine? If so, does anyone have any guidance on setting up an
alternative search engine.

Thanks

I use a search by www.stoneedge.com. It was easy to set up ( and not very
expensive) and the results can be displayed in a way that will compliment
your site. Try my search and also try my advanced search to see how the
results work.
