Yagal,
With the error you got using FTP you probably don't have permissions to
write to the data/download directory. (That isn't an area where you
would normally put merchant supplied files) You should check with your
hosting provider and make sure that you have permissions to ftp to that
directory.
The other error I am not sure about but it almost sounds like the same
permissions problems since it says that there is an error opening the
image file in the output directory. (Any file uploaded by the
mediam.cgi file would be considered an image and the normal directory
for mediam.cgi is the output directory so I think the error message is
giving the wrong directory in this case)
Were you trying to upload the file under Commerce Setup > Digital
Downloads > Manage Files when the error occurred or where you actually
trying to download the file after ordering it when the error occurred?
The mime type would have nothing to do with uploading the file to the
server it would only affect when a shopper downloads the file after
purchasing it.
What browser were you using when the error occurred? Have you ever been
able to use the Digital Download functionality or is this the first time
you have tried? Did you try it without specifying any additional mime
types?

Hi,
I'm using SC Pro 6.1.1
I setup the MIME types under "Configure Digital Downloads"
audio/mp3
audio/aiff aif
audio/wav
Then I tried to use the "Digital Download" feature and download from
my machine an mp3 file, however, I'm getting an error:
"(#11100074) Error opening new image file in your output directory"
I tried using FTP instead as an alternative way to download the file to:
shopsite_sc/ss/data/downloads/ and I'm getting a "Permission denied"
error
I search for the above error in the knowledge base, but my search
returned with no results.
Does anyone got such an error and can help pointing on the cause.
Thanks,
Yigal.
