Can you use coupon codes to track orders from associates?

I suppose if you only gave certain codes to each associate you could track
where the order came from based upon that coupon code being entered by the
shopper. But if a code is posted anywhere on a web site it can get passed
around the web so an order may not have originated with that associate.

Is there a reason you cannot use ShopSite Pro's Associate feature?

IMHO the easiest way to track associates is with the affiliates tool
because you get URL's into your site that are tracked... we track all
our search engine campaigns using the affiliate function and it has
helped us determine which campaigns actually lead to sales and which
just send mindless traffic ;)
