I recently inherited a Shopsite store. When an item is added to cart, they get a message saying
"The information you're about to submit is not secure"
How can I fix that?
I saw an older post about this that said to " Change the action call on your catalog pages to not be secure to the cart". How do I do that?

Re: Insecure connection
If you are using a newer version of ShopSite, you should be able to go into Preferences> Hosting Service> Store Settings> Make Store URL secure. Check use SSL/TLS security in ShopSite Generated Pages and the order screen. Then you will want to go to Utilities> Publish> Regenerate> to have ShopSite update the ShopSite managed links.
Note: links entered directly into text fields would need to be manually adjusted to reflect the https: instead of http:

Thanks for your response. I can see that ""My Store" URL uses https under Merchant Settings but the Store Settings shows the "Store URL" with http. It does not appear to be editable. How can I edit that setting? Should I contact my hosting provider to change that? Shopsite is provided through the hosting provider (Fatcow).

You don't need to edit the hard coded settings in ShopSite. When you activate the 'Make Store URL secure' feature ShopSite will adjust the ShopSite Managed settings for you. You may need to change the "My Store" URL at the top of the page to reflect the https:// and if you have entered any links into text fields on pages or in products you may need to manually adjust those.

Re: Insecure connection
The "My Store" URL at the top of the page already uses https:// and I activated the 'Make Store URL secure'. I did not find any hardcoded links on pages that I needed to edit. Where else can I look?

You would also need to regenerate the store after making that change. It is located under Utilities> Publish> Regenerate>.
