Control over the CVV purging?

I know that for security purposes the CVV is removed from the Orders database once orders are downloaded. We process payments outside of Shopsite and we have had several instances of it happening before we could print the order form and process the payment. It has happened without us even selecting the order. Is there a way we can get more control over the CVV purging?

In manual processing mode there is one shot at the CVV2, when you view the order or download it, whichever comes first. If you View an order with a CVV2 number in it, there are warnings on the screen that you need to write it down or print if you need it again, as it has been purged and will not be available again from ShopSite.

Getting rid of it after first access was a requirement for our PCI certification the first time we did it many moons ago. Note: that for merchants using a payment gateway ShopSite will not save the CVV2 number at all.
